Lake Windermere Aquathlon Society

Lake Windermere Aquathlon Society, based in Windermere, organizes an annual swimming and running competition south of Windermere. The society is a BC non-profit organization that exists to promote and advance the sports of swimming and running in the Columbia Valley Proceeds of events are used in partnership with local organizations to protect the wetland ecozone at the south end of the lake and also to support language programs that help to preserve the Ktunaxa indigenous language.
