Kimberley Alpine Resort

Kimberley Alpine Resort is a family resort, offering some of BC’s best downhill skiing in winter and golfing at the resort’s championship course in summer.

The resort is easy to get to by the new Integra Air flight called “Spirit of the Kootenays” which flies several times per week from Calgary to the Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) in Cranbrook. Then it’s just a 30-minute drive right to the door (5 minutes from downtown Kimberley).

There’s also snowshoeing and Nordic skiing on a variety of beautifully maintained trails. The kids can head along the Kids Trail through the woods where, hidden in the trees are festive characters (mascots) to delight them along the way.

You can have a snowmobile adventure or enjoy the thrills of a dog-sledding experience too. In the evenings, there is night skiing, or you can skate under the stars at the outdoor skating rink and warm up with a hot drink around a bonfire. There’s live music at the Stemwinder Bar and Grill and everyone in the family will enjoy the delicious fare at Montana’s Cookhouse at the ski base.
