The Purple Pirate is bringing his Message in a Bottle, theatre-style dance production to the stage at Key City Theatre to celebrate BC Family Day 2018!

The production re-defines what it means to be a Pirate of the Twenty-First Century,  promoting the values of courage, compassion, and curiosity. This show showcases
the artistry of dancer, Dustin Anderson his wizardry as a magician, and his exemplary
talent to inspire kids and promote positive values.

“Dustin Anderson created Purple Pirate Entertainment in an effort to combine his passion for performance with his love for children.

In less than ten years, (he) has turned his birthday party character into a national sensation. (He) has performed all over the world, and entertained audiences big and small. From backyard parties to performing live in front of 2 million people in Shanghai, China, Dustin’s vast and varied experience as a performer never interferes with his approachibility. Children identify with him, and love to interact with him during this after his shows.

Dustin breaks the mold of traditional children’s performers. Not a musician or a magician, Dustin engages young audiences with energy and a youthful physicality unparalleled by any of his performing colleagues.

His performances combine comedy, dance, and positive, affirming messages that promote self-esteem and build confidence in children. Dustin Anderson is a transformational theatre artist who has performed for schools across the country…  He weaves together theatre, music, dance storytelling and state-of-the-art lighting and sound to promote positive messages and values rooted in courage and compassion. His latest work, Message in a Bottle, is a tale of transformation that addresses the cycle of bullying and how to break it.” (from his website at: http://purplepirate.com)
