The Small Glories is a powerful coming together of two incredible solo performers whose tight harmonies and emotional authenticity have brought audiences to their feet wherever their travels have taken them.
Based in Winnipeg, the folk-roots duo is comprised of Cara Luft and JD Edwards, both of whom have earned acclaim in their own rights.
Cara is a JUNO winner and co-founder of The Wailin’ Jennys. She plays guitar and banjo as well as writing amazingly powerful songs. Cara’s voice and style is reminiscent of folk singer, Joni Mitchell.
JD is a singer/song-writer is recognized as having one of the most versatile and powerful voices in Canada. His feel for blues, country and Americana grounds the pair.
Both bring to their performances a synergy which just expands their individual gifts, making for a rare musical treat for audiences. Between them, they have a dozen albums. The critically-acclaimed debut CD, Wondrous Traveler, is their latest.
