Splitting her time between Toronto and Los Angeles, Anne Marie Scheffler is a one-woman comedy industry who has created and toured eight solo shows across Canada and the United States. Oh, and she’s an award-winning screenwriter, has a comedy CD selling on iTunes, and also has a movie coming out.

For now, though, “that funny blonde girl” is leaving audiences in stitches with her latest show, MILF Life Crisis. In the course of one unforgettable evening Anne Marie spins through a number of characters: aside from playing herself (pre, during, and post-marriage), she also does her husband turned ex, and several close female friends – including audience favorite Kendra, a.k.a. Nympho Kendra, who has gleefully traded in a useless husband for a number of casual lovers.

MILF‘s gritty details of divorce, self-doubt, co-parenting craziness, and what happens when a sexy and sex-starved single mom tries to navigate dating sites such as Tinder pay off with hilarious misfires, moments of humiliation, and some very believable angst. Anne Marie has mined her own life to great effect and the result is an insightful, sharply written and vividly performed show that’s been getting raves from audiences and critics alike.
