Columbia Valley & East Kootenay
The Johnson Trail at Lake Lillian is an 11 km long single track that is a prime example of why the Columbia Valley in BC is a favorite spot with cross-country mountain bikers everywhere.
The Johnson Trail forms a loop through open forest and along the Toby Creek Canyon, offering both intermediate and expert riders not only a thrilling and challenging ride, but incredible scenery as well.
Inside the trail is a double track loop called the Junior Johnson which starts from the Johnson trailhead which is a great place for novice riders to gain experience.
There is parking at a roadside area at the Lake Lillian Recreation Site.
The Johnson Trail is maintained by the Columbia Valley Cycling Society. For more information about the Johnson Trail, visit the society’s website at: http://columbiavalleycyclingsociety.org
