Hoodoos Trailhead

Fairmont Hot Springs,

The Hoodoos trailhead is the beginning of a hiker’s adventure along the 3-km trail to the top of the legendary sandstone cliffs that are a striking landmark to travelers along Highway 93/95, just south of Fairmont hot Springs at Dutch Creek.

The hike is about an hour long, providing spectacular views on every side. Once at the top, you can look to the south and see Columbia Lake where the Columbia River begins its nearly 2,000 km ( 1,243 miles) journey to the Pacific Ocean. To the west, you will see Dutch Creek which is a major feeder to the lake.

To get to the Hoodoos Trailhead, head south from Fairmont on Hwy 93/95 about 1/12 to 2 miles (if you get to the Dutch Creek service station, you have gone about a few hundred yards too far). Turn right onto Westside Rd. and continue for about 1 km. Watch for the sign on the left side of the road and look for the parking lot.
