Annex Park, Fernie

Annex Park, Fernie

Annex Park is a lovely green space sitting along the Elk River in Fernie, BC, a mountain town located near the Alberta and Montana borders. It is the venue for the annual Wapiti Music Festival each summer and a favorite spot for families to enjoy together year-round.

Annex Park is a natural area surrounded by community trails and featuring a duck pond, grassy open areas and picnic facilities. Children love the resident ducks in the pond. Dogs are welcome on leash, and there is a specific off-leash area as well. Visitors to the park can bike, walk, jog and picnic during the summer months and snow-shoe and cross-country ski in wintertime.

The trails in the park connect to a large network of trails that explore the Fernie Community. Pick up a copy of the Fernie Trail Map at the Visitor Information Centre on HWY 3 or at the museum downtown.
