Lake Windermere Ambassadors

Lake Windermere Ambassadors

The Lake Windermere Ambassadors is an official British Columbia Society, comprised of a group of people who represent the wider Lake Windermere community. Their commitment is to ensure that water quality in the lake and watershed health education continue into the future.

They love our lake and see it as:
•    A vital natural resource that contributes to this area’s wildlife and ecosystem health
•    A cultural resource
•    A strong contribution to the local economy, giving Columbia Valley residents a very unique sense of place

Through their website at: http://lakeambassadors.ca and their facebook page at: http://facebook.com/Lake-Windermere-Ambassadors, the group informs about lake “pulse-checks”, annual water quality reports, events and other lake-based information.

The Lake Windermere Ambassadors has organized an ‘army’ of willing community volunteers on many occasions to help in restoration projects and shoreline clean-ups to maintain the waters we all play in and cherish.

For more information about the Lake Windermere Ambassadors and to find out how you may become involved,  please contact Program Coordinator, Thea Rodgers or send an email.
