It is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook BC. With the majestic Rocky Mountains towering to the east and the Purcell Mountain range to the west, the long hours of daily sunshine, warm summer temperatures and noticeably friendly atmosphere have long made the charming 18-hole par-71 course one of the most celebrated in the Kootenay Rockies.
Golfers find the perfect mountain golf experience here. Situated high above the beautiful St. Mary’s River, Kimberley Golf Club features dramatic drops in elevation that offer challenges aplenty. The undulating and flawlessly groomed greens and impeccable fairways surrounded by magnificent ponderosa pines are what memories are made of. The drives don’t need to be long here –- you just need to be accurate. The 12th hole, an especially great par-4 that careens along a hillside just might possibly be your favorite ‘natural’ golf hole in the Kootenays. And watch out for the 18th green -– it’s not as easy as it looks!
Your round will be relaxed, friendly and fun — and afterward, on the spacious deck, you can watch the action over a refreshing drink or dine on the daily special at Kimberley’s licensed restaurant.
Rent clubs, carts and pull-carts and purchase fashionable clothing and accessories at the fully equipped pro shop.
If you want to take your game to the next level, book a few individual lessons or sign up for some group instruction with Tom Vold, CPGA/PGA, Director of Golf at Kimberley. Tom has years of experience, being 2-time winner of the Golf Professional of the Year in the Las Vegas chapter of the PGA of America as well as the Director of Golf Operations at The Legacy, Tuscany, Rhodes Ranch and Angel Park Golf Club in the greater Las Vegas area. Since 1989, he has been a class member of the Canadian PGA and since 1996 a class member of the PGA of America. Tom also conducts junior camps where kids can learn all about the game so the whole family can get involved with this great sport.
Warm up for your round at one of the 20 grass or mat hitting stations, target greens, practice greens, chipping area, fairways and short game area. In inclement weather, take your warm-up indoors, with net hitting stations, practice greens and simulators.
