‘Classical Fantasy’ is the name of the Symphony of the Rockies’ spring concert at the Key City Theatre in Cranbrook.​

The “Father of the Symphony” Joseph Haydn’s 100th (!) symphony perfectly shows off his skill as a composer and the spirit of the classical musical era. This is book-ended by two differing approaches to Russian stormy weather; Tchaikovsky’s passionate ode to Shakespeare’s doomed lovers, and Rachmaninov’s virtuoso showpiece for himself, performed with flair by Calgary’s Han Ding
