Copper Point ‘Feed the Town’
Dec 4, 2016 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm| Donation to the Food Bank if possible
Feed the Town is coming up!
When the annual Copper Point ‘Feed the Town’ event rolls around, we know for absolutely certain that the holiday season in the Columbia Valley is in full swing! Every year, the Copper Point Golf Club hosts a giant feast and everyone in the valley is invited. This valley favorite Christmas dinner is a scrumptious traditional holiday feast with all the trimmings.
Dinner will be served from noon until 7 PM in the Copper Point Clubhouse. The menu will include turkey, soup, salad, potatoes, roasted vegetables and pumpkin pie. Lots of people like to come early but we promise that no one is ever left out!
Santa will be coming to visit the party and kids can have their pictures taken with the jolly old man.
Last year, more than 1,200 people sat down to dinner and, as they do every year, they shared their own abundance with the Columbia Valley Food Bank. When it was over, 4 truckloads of non-perishable food items and close to $2,000 blessed the food bank to help ease the increased load at this time of the year.
Feed the Town is a community initiative by Copper Point, Gordon Food Service, Kootenay Paving-Skandia Concrete and Sysco. We ask that you join with us by bringing at least one non-perishable food item or cash to share with the Food Bank.
