“My Internship in Canada” is pure political satire, pointing the finger at Canadians’ penchant for focusing on the regional at the expense of the bigger picture.

Look through the eyes of an independent MP from northern Quebec who unexpectedly finds himself holding the tie-breaking vote on whether or not the country will go to war in the Middle East.

Steve Guibord, played by Patrick Huard, goes on a tour of his constituency to find out public opinion on the matter and what the lobby groups want. He becomes confused as the debate spins out of control and finally forces his decision onto the shoulders of his Haitian immigrant intern, Souverain.

“My Internship in Canada” received an honorable mention from the jury at the 2015 TorontoInternational Film Festival and has been named as part of the festival’s ‘Top Ten’  best Canadian films of the year.The film is suitable for all ages.
