Book Camp this summer at the Invermere Library

Jul 3, 2018 - Aug 28, 2018

Reading books

Book Camp is a fabulous new FREE summer program for kids from grade 4 to 7 at the Invermere Public Library   in which our summer intern student, Jenna Grose, will be sharing her love of junior fantasy fiction with our local summer readers.

Four books — two weeks for each book! Come for one book or all four!

It’s guaranteed to be enlightening! Participants will read the books ahead of time and then, at BOOK CAMP, everyone will explore the novel through conversations, activities, and art.

The first book will be “The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien and will be the CAMP PICK for the first two weeks of July.  **Contact the library by June 8 if you would like us to order a copy of the book–campers should have the book read beforehand.

We are also doing a poll to see what day of the week is best for our BOOK CAMP days. Choose which day you would like:

  • Tuesdays from 10:30 am – noon
  • Tuesdays from 1:30 – 3:00 pm
  • Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:00 pm
