The annual Steamboat Mountain Music festival in picturesque Edgewater, BC will be back the weekend after Canada day with music lovers from near and far. The festival is a much-loved summertime music event in the Columbia Valley. Every year, it brings together musicians and those who appreciate good music in a spectacular outdoor splash! There’s something to make everybody happy. Sing along! Tap your feet! Celebrate!
The festival includes about every genre of music. Bluegrass – Celtic – Classic Rock – Country – Pop – Guitar – Latin Jazz – Folk – all are together in one place at one time. Both local and featured artists perform on an outdoor festival stage on the grounds of the Edgewater Community Hall with a grand view of the Columbia River wetlands and Steamboat Mountain. Food and craft vendors along with kids entertainment will also be available.
Here’s a schedule of events for the 2018 festival:
Friday Night – July 6
Porch Parties! Admission by donation. Take a stroll around town, meet the neighbors, and hear some great music.
Saturday – July 7
Main Stage starting at 11 am and running until 10 pm in the Edgewater Park
The line-up of artists will be announced soon. Look for lots of great local music plus a few special guest performers.
Sunday – July 8

The good news is that we will be holding to our very affordable $25 for adults, $5 for Youth 13-18 $5, Children under 12 free (accompanied by parent), Family Pass $55. Festival tickets are on sale at the launch party (May 9) and from May 12 to July 6 at the locations listed below.

The event is a presentation of the Steamboat Mountain Music Society. It’s purpose is to advance the public’s appreciation of the arts while providing a forum for qualified musicians to perform through participation. The Society provides scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance to further music education, including workshops, music camps, courses lessons, master classes and college programs.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks – oh, and plenty of sunscreen too. There’s always lots of family-friendly fun, great music and good times at the Steamboat Mountain Music Festival!
