The Windermere Valley Museum in Invermere BC sits atop a hill overlooking the Columbia River valley. The museum’s main building, which was originally a CPR station,  houses a visitor centre containing, among other things,  a display area with changing exhibits, offices and meeting spaces and an extensive archives and photographic collection.

There are several historic buildings on the property, each one containing artifacts of interest, as well as a geocache, a dug-out canoe and and old ice house.

The museum is the venue for many community events, especially a wonderful children’s program during the summer months. The grounds would make a memorable spot for wedding photos.
