The Radium Hot Springs pools have a long history, starting from before anyone can remember but First Nations people talk about the hot springs being a sacred place for them long ago before the white man came to the area.

In 1841, Sir George Simpson, the governor of the Hudson’s Bay Company, made the first recorded visit to the hot pools where he bathed in a gravel pool just large enough for one person.

Today, those first visitors to the pools wouldn’t be able to recognize them, a large hot pool surrounded by the rock walls of the Sinclair Canyon, a surprise plunge and a cool pool for swimming, plus the on-site Pleiades Spa and Wellness where trained therapists can work on those aching spots.

Thousands of visitors flock annually, to this, the largest hot springs pool in Canada, uniquely colorless and odorless. There, they relax their tired muscles and let the cares of the world float away, if even for a little while.

Once you have had a soak in the Radium Hot Springs pools, you’ll return again and again.
