Nipika Mountain Resort is an eco-resort (totally off-grid), located outside Radium Hot Springs BC.

The resort focuses on self-propelled outdoor activities experienced in harmony with the natural British Columbia settings including cross country skiing, ice skating, fat biking, tobogganing and snowshoeing in the winter months and mountain biking, hiking, trail running and much more during the summer months! It reguarly plays host to events sponsored by the Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club.

Trails

In partnership with the BC Ministry of Forest, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, Nipika operates the Cross River Canyon Trails at the Cross River Canyon Recreation Site. The 1,500-acre area  is designated as a non-motorized/ non-shooting Recreation Site specifically for skiers, snowshoers, cyclists, hikers and runners. The scenic trails along the Kootenay and Cross River valleys, offering gorgeous scenery and opportunities for viewing the wildlife of the area and in winter, are  professionally groomed for classic and skate skiing. There novice, intermediate and expert trails for every level of experience.

There are also separate, groomed single fat bike trails.

Pets

Pets are welcome at Nipika Mountain Resort. Just let the resort know ahead of time if you are bringing your pet with you. And if you have a horseback vacation in mind and  wish to bring your horse with you, the resort offers ‘Board n Bale’ holidays too!

Event Bookings

Featuring a conference centre, dining hall, and catering service, Nipika Mountain Resort is an ideal venue for groups such as weddings, reunions, corporate retreats, etc.

Annual Events at Nipika, which always include a huge barbecue, attract participants from near and far:

  • the Kootenay Krusher Mountain Bike event
