NEW LOCATION!

The Invermere Public Library is now located in the brand new Columbia Valley Centre! You’ll find lots more space, more books, more of everything you’ve loved in the bright new facility.

The library is a popular spot for everyone interested in reading and learning – and even for the person who doesn’t much enjoy the pastime, there something that will surely spark an interest.

The library offers to the public, access to computers and internet printing, photocopies and faxes, equipment loans, online databases,  a great selection of ebooks, an outreach to the community and more.

Book Donation Centre

Gently used books may be deposited in the new book donation centre located across the street from the library in the courthouse parking lot.

Are you on vacation?

• Drop in to check your emails or send a message to family back home on one of our computers
• Want to find some great vacation reading? Your BC Library Card from your home library will let you borrow books, etc, from the Invermere Public Library

Great programs!

The library offers many programs and special events for every age and interest:

• Story Times for various age groups
• Summer Reading Club to keep kids interested in reading during the summer months
• Adventure Club and other book clubs
• computer training
• Have a computer question? On Saturdays you can get technical help from one of our computer-savvy staff members who will walk you through your questions
• innovative workshops throughout the year
• Breast-feeding Mamas  –  a peer group that meets to encourage breast-feeding among young mothers
• Seniors Teas twice monthly provide an opportunity for Seniors to get out, return their borrowed books and find new ones while they enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with friends and neighbors. There is even a bus to pick them up and deliver them back home!
