Frater Landing is a delightful little spot right in the middle of downtown Invermere. It is in the shape of a ‘U’ with shops surrounding a tiny green courtyard.

Many years ago when Invermere was much younger, there was a church in this spot and it still stands today, having worn many hats since that time. Now it is the home of Ambiente, a home furnishing/home decor store. You will also find the Circle Cafe, the main office of Family Dynamix, the Women’s Resource Centre  and the Hospice Society of the Columbia Valley here.

The courtyard is a favorite spot in the summer months, where weary shoppers sit in the shade and do some serious people watching as they enjoy an ice cream cone or some iced tea.
