The Rotary Club of Kimberley has, since 1941, been serving Kimberley BC,  putting “service above self” and demonstrating leadership and commitment in the community.

The 32-member service club, representing local businesses and professions, is a member of the world-wide Rotary International which represents more than 1.2 million Rotarians in over 34,000 clubs across the globe.

Like Rotary International, the stated purpose of the Rotary Club of Kimberley is:

• to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services
• to encourage high ethical standards in all vocations
• to help build goodwill and peace in the world

The club accomplishes these goals by raising funds during the year, for their many projects in the community and the world at large. Just a few of their more notable local projects are:

• the Kimberley Splash Park
• Rotary Park and playground
• student scholarships

The Rotary Club of Kimberley is open to all persons regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender or political preference. Membership is by invitation. The group meets weekly at noon.
