The Hospice Society of the Columbia Valley is comprised of a group of volunteers who are specially-trained, caring people, available to clients and families who are grieving a personal loss.

They visit homes, hospitals and health care facilities anywhere from Canal Flats to Spillimacheen, providing key resource materials, companionship, a listening ear and an open heart.

Volunteer can assist with preparing legacy items, supporting caregivers and providing vigil care. They also can continue to support the bereaved following a death with visits and support groups.

During the year, the Hospice Society organizes various public events such as information meetings, fund-raising social events and the annual Tree of Lights ceremony.
