Global Animal Lovers (the GALS) is a non-profit group of volunteers whose motto is “Rescue, Spay/Neuter, Adopt.”

The group was founded in 2010 to:

  • Help fix the global pet overpopulation issue
  • Create awareness of the importance of spay/neutering pets and the positive impact it can have on the global issue of pet overpopulation

Global Animal Lovers utilizes no shelter and believes there are some real benefits to this concept:

  • Being in caring and loving homes is more beneficial to the animals’ health and rehabilitation than if they were in a shelter
  • With none of the overhead costs of maintaining a facility, donated funds can go directly to the care of the animals.
