Wild and Scenic Film Festival

Nov 26, 2016 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| $10 - $25

The Wild and Scenic Film Festival is returning to Invermere for the 3rd year, always a highlight with local film-goers, adventurers and environmentalists in our community. This event is also the year’s major fundraiser for Wildsight.

The international film festival is touring 150 cities and towns in North America, focusing attention on environmental issues of concern to each local community.  Such topics as energy, biodiversity, climate change, and the protection of wild areas may be highlighted.  Film-makers, celebrities and leading environmentalists will have you on the edge of your seat as you kayak the wildest rivers and climb the highest peaks across the world.  Whatever your experience, you will definitely be inspired to seek ways to make a difference within your own community.

At the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, there will be a raffle for some fabulous prizes. You could win:

  • A Tinhorn Winery guesthouse stay – a $700 value
  • A trip for 4 on the Kootenay River with Chutney River Runners – a  $495 value
  • A Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate – a $200 value
  • A Winderberry gift certificate – a $100 value
  • A Crazy Soles gift certificate – a $100 value
