A Golden community celebration is in order. The Lower Canyon of the Kicking Horse River will be open once again! An agreement has been reached with the CPR, thanks to the co-operative effort of all government levels, businesses, and individuals world-wide. It’s time to do some serious celebrating!

A huge community celebration is planned! It will begin with a float down the Kicking Horse River, starting at the Golden Municipal Campground and ending at Spirit Square an hour later. There will be music and a community barbecue in the square at noon.
