The Freeride World Tour is coming to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort this year for the first time ever! It will be the ONLY stop in North America for this Freeride World Qualifier. The resort has long been world-renowned for being a spectacular freeride destination and this year, is one of two new locations for the opening events, the other being Hakuba, Japan.

Forty-five riders in four categories – ski men, ski women, snowboard men, and snowboard women – will make the five-stop international journey. All riders will face a round of qualification cuts after the fourth stop in Fieberbrunn, Austria before arriving at the grand finale in Verbier, Switzerland in March/April 2018.

The steep, rugged and burly terrain at KHMR provides the perfect playground to challenge the best skiers and snowboarders in the world & is sure to be a spectacular event for both athletes and spectators.
