The FireSmart Community Workshop, hosted by the BC Wildfire Service and the Windermere Fire Department, is geared toward neighborhood residents who would like to take a strong leadership role in their communities.

These men and women would become “Community Champions” by implementing the FireSmart Canada Community Recognition Program in their home neighborhoods. The workshop will start them in the process toward earning FireSmart Community recognition standing.

Participants in the workshop will receive the information and tools to enable them to work with individuals and fire agencies to make their neighborhoods less vulnerable to wildfire.
