The Family Dynamix Association community garage sale fundraiser is coming up this month so here’s a wonderful opportunity to do some serious spring cleaning around the house, the yard and even the garage.

The event will draw attention to  ‘Prevention of Violence Against Women’ week, a provincial initiative that began in 1995 with the BC government’s declaring of a week-long movement during April to encourage people to stand up against domestic disputes and especially to prevent violence against women and children.

Funds raised from the Family Dynamix community garage sale will go towards programs offered to women and their children in the Columbia Valley who are trying to leave abusive relationships.

The event, including a barbecue, will take place in the courtyard at Frater Landing. The sale items will be by donation.

So, let’s get behind the Family Dynamix community garage sale with our donations of clothing, toys, garden items, and other gently-used items we no longer have use for.

Take your donations to the Women’s Resource Centre in the lower level at Frater Landing. Mark the date on your calendar and plan on being there!
