The East Kootenay mining heritage is a fascinating story you’ll learn about in this free public presentation! The history of the east Kootenays was sculpted by prospectors, miners, and fortune seekers chasing deposits of metal and coal that formed through a rich geologic history. Come hear stories of the rocks that shape the landscape and the characters who have made their living from them.
The presentation will take place in 3 locations:
- Kimberley May 8 – 7 pm @ Centre 64
- Invermere May 16 – 7 pm @ Wilmer Hall
- Cranbrook May 23 – 7 pm @ History Centre
