“Coming Home” is a story about returning from the ravages of the Cultural Revolution in China. Yanshi, a professor, had been sent to the labor camp from which he eventually escaped. He arranged to meet his wife, Feng Wanyu and daughter Dandan but the police were waiting for him, having been betrayed by Dandan. Both husband and wife were imprisoned and by the time they came home, his beloved wife was suffering from amnesia as a result of the brutal treatment she had experienced in prison. The story follows the attempt of this former political prisoner to help his wife regain her memory and re-discover their love for each other. The film is suitable for all ages.
