Invermere Library Book Reading

Dec 14, 2016 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

| Free

The Invermere Public Library invites you to an evening book reading with Jane Byers and Leesa Dean, two incredibly talented writers from Nelson. They will entertain you with stories and poems from their latest books.

Jane Byers, is the author of ‘Acquired Community’ and ‘Steeling Effects’. In ‘Steeling Effects’, her first full book of poetry, she explores why adversity breaks some people while others learn to bend.  How can we bounce back from adversity, stronger than before and embrace our own humanity with all its flawed beauty? Find out more about Jane at: http://caitlin-press.com/our-authors/byers-jane

Leesa Dean, a teacher of English and Creative Writing for Selkirk College’s University Arts and Sciences Department, will read from her book, ‘Waiting for the Cyclone’, her debut short story collection. Leesa has been a finalist for such literary awards as the Irving Layton Award, the litpop Award and the Quebec Writing Competition. For more information about Leesa, please visit: http://leesadean.ca/bio

Copies of their books will be available for purchase and signing. Everyone is welcome to the FREE event.
