Conrad Kain Park is located in the heart of the tiny hamlet of Wilmer, BC, a short drive from Invermere. It was constructed in 2009 by the Conrad Kain Cenrennial Society as a tribute to the Alpine Club of Canada’s first professional guide, an Austrian named Conrad Kain, who came to the Wilmer area and over the next quarter century, made climbing history, becoming a model for succeeding generations of guides and mountain lovers. There is a cairn in memory of Conrad Kain in the park.
