The Windermere Community Association (WCA) is a registered charitable organization with its own constitution and bylaws. It encompasses not only the village of Windermere BC but also the area within the boundaries of the Windermere Fire Protection area.

The purpose of the Windermere Community Association is to:
•    Provide buildings and facilities for community meetings, entertainment, educational activities and sports;
•    Foster or participate in all such activities that will lead to the cultural, social, physical and agricultural  benefit of the community
•    Provide a forum for community discussion and debate
•    Raise money to support the above initiatives

They operate the community hall and organize various special community activities, look after beach and dock operation and maintain their website.
