DESCRIPTION:West My Friend is bringing a new generation of grass-roots folk music to Pynelogs Cultural Centre in Invermere. This is the first performance in the new musical series\, ‘Love it Live’ that will be brightening the Columbia Valley cultural landscape this winter.\n\nYou’ll hear an innovative and exceptionally distinctive sound from this band – a blending of the traditional and the future of indie-roots/chamber-folk music that will definitely capture your imagination.\n\nWest My Friend is Eden Oliver with voice and guitar\, Alex Rempel with voice and mandolin\, Jeff Poynter with accordion and voice and Nick Mintenko with bass and voice. Each brings to the group a wealth of classical training and experience and his own flavor and together\, they blend their instruments and their 4-part harmonies into something totally unique.\n\nOpening for West My Friend is Dawson Rutledge\, a hot new award-winning singer-songwriter\, musician and performer from Cranbrook.
