DESCRIPTION:The Sultans of String is a Toronto-based\, multi-award-winning quintet which has taken the world by storm. Their exciting music has deservedly earned a place in the world music genre. They magically fuse together Celtic reels\, flamenco\, Gypsy-jazz\, Arabic\, Cuban and South Asian rhythms. Impossible\, you say? This band does it seemingly effortlessly with layer upon layer of sounds combined to make you absolutely want to dance to the beat. Everywhere they go\, they play to standing audiences and rave reviews!\n\nIn the 8 years that the Sultans of String have been performing\, they have hit the #1 spot across Canada on Top Ten national radio charts and have received at least 30 awards\, including 2 JUNO nominations\, 1st place out of 15\,000 entries in the International Songwriting Competition\, 2014 SIRIUSXM Independent Music Award winner\, 2 Canadian Folk Music awards and many others. Christian\, who lives in Calgary and Panorama intends to make a career in the performing arts and loves to also share his talent with both seniors and and patients at Alberta Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.
