DESCRIPTION:The Rocky Mountain Trifecta Weekend beckons you to put yourself to the ultimate test in what was named the 'Best Obstacle Race' (Outside Magazine) this July at Kimberley Alpine Resort. You'll have to be the adventurous sort because you’ll be running in mud and water\, climbing hills and mountains\, crawling under barbed wire and jumping fire.\n\nIf you think you're up for the challenge\, sign up for one or more of the several race categories\, including family-friendly events.\n\nThe Categories are as follows:\n\nSprint -  5+ km with 20 to 23 obstacles. The Sprint may be our shortest distance race\, but it’s still a favorite amongst both new and returning racers. It’s the perfect distance for those looking to start their Spartan journey. The Sprint also allows returning racers a manageable distance to see how far they can push themselves. Delivering 20+ obstacles over 3+ miles\, you’ll never run the same race twice. Once you complete the sprint you are 1/3 on your Spartan TRIFECTA: The ultimate Spartan achievement. ( fastest time - 40 min.)\n\nSuper - 13+ km of rugged terrain with 24 to 29 obstacles. This middle distance race offers both distance and speed in a true athletic test. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta\, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast. (fastest time - 80 minutes)\n\nBeast -  20+ km with 30 to 35 obstacles. This race will test your strength\, your endurance and your resolve. You'll be required to push what you thought were your limits. (fastest time - 3 hours)\n\nKids - There are 2 great kids' races to introduce the younger generation to the sport:\n\n \ta 1 km event for kids 4 to 8 years\n \ta 1.5 to 3 km event for kids 9 to 13 years\n\nUltra - 50 km with 60+ obstacles. This race is the ultimate and is the first race of its kind to bring the best of OCR and ultra-endurance sports together. If you’re a traditional ultra-endurance sports fan\, you will love the Ultra.
