DESCRIPTION:The Radium Harvest Festival is Radium Hot Springs’ grand celebration of autumn and the harvest season. It's a great time of year\, being close to Oktoberfest and Halloween and visitors to the fun-filled family festival will find all the flavors of the season rolled into one happy\, activity-filled day.\n\nFor moms and dads\, there is a market and crafts\, and\, of course what would an autumn harvest festival be without a beer garden? Over by the Horsethief Pub\, there is a bratwurst BBQ and beer. You can enjoy some international beer and taste delicious authentic European food.\n\nThe kids love the games\, face painting\, pumpkin painting and a special appearance by Radium’s own mascot\, Randy the Ram. Oh\, and a petting zoo as well!\n\nBuy a steaming cup of hot chocolate and a bag of popcorn! The proceeds will go to support future Radium events.\n\n\nPumpkin carving contest\nWhat would a harvest festival be without a pumpkin carving contest? Actually\, two contests – one for the kids 12 years and under and the other for the big folks\, 13 years and over. The pumpkins are presented beforehand and judged\, with lots of prizes won. Each pumpkin entered in the contest must be able to stand upright by itself and it must be carved.
