SUMMARY:'Murphy's Law' documentary at Pynelogs
DESCRIPTION:Murphy's Law is the second film in the Cinefest Fall 2017 series. It's a heartwarming recounting of Megan Murphy's cycling tour of Ireland\, following the route her beloved late father had chronicled in a journal about his 1973 solo bike journey through Ireland when he was just 26 years old. The film  will be screened at Pynelogs Cultural Centre in Invermere in October. The film is suitable for all ages.\n\nEveryone is welcome to attend with a special invite extended to the local cycling community.\n\nFilm synopsis:\n\nOn the eve of her 35th birthday\, Megan moved back into her childhood home. For the first time in her life\, she was alone; both of her parents were dead. In cleaning out her parents’ belongings\, she found her father’s journal\, long believed lost in a fire. It chronicled his 1973 solo bike journey through Ireland when he was just 26 years old.\n\nStruggling with her own grief and a broken heart\, she decides to take her father’s journal and his original 1973 red Peugeot and return to the land of her ancestors.
