DESCRIPTION:The Golden Mountain Festival is an annual celebration of all the many reasons why the Town of Golden and area is so loved by those who call it home.\n\nEvery year in the month of May\, the residents of Golden BC celebrate one of the many threads that\, when woven together\, create the breathtaking tapestry that is this mountain paradise. Each yearly festival explores a different thread. One year\, it might be the town’s colorful history\, another its tourism industry or the many things to do in the area\, still another its celebrated citizens\, past and present.\n\nThis year we invite you to help us celebrate "150 Golden Years' at the Golden Mountain Festival. We are proud of our heritage and our renown as one of Canada's most vibrant mountain towns.\n\nWe have a history worth celebrating and we are doing it up in style! There will be adventures for all the family - you can enjoy a guided hike\, a white-knuckled white-water raft ride and much more and in the evenings\,  you'll enjoy live local and regional athletes and mountain adventurers\, live music and our special guest speaker\, Will Gadd\, recipient of National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year.
