SUMMARY:Huckleberry Loppet
DESCRIPTION:Huckleberry Loppet has been the big event of the season for the Golden Nordic Ski Club for the past two decades and it's promising to be even better this year!\n\nThe 22nd edition of the Golden Nordic Club's popular Huckleberry Loppet promises a fun-filled weekend for the whole family\, with fabulous prizes waiting to be won! The top winners will receive a beautiful raku medallion and the other prizes will be awarded in draws. Volunteers and skiers are all eligible to win!\n\nSaturday is the traditional classic event with distances for every age and ability. Choose the 1k\, 5k\, 15k or for the more adventurous\, the 30k. Pick up bibs from 9:30-10:30am. Race starts at 11 AM except the 1k which begins at 10:50 AM.\n\nSunday is the skate event with distances of 1k\, 5k\, 10k and 20k. Pick up bibs from 9:30-10:30 AM. Race starts at 11 AM. There's also a Chariot Poker race and you can register for that on-site.\n\nThere will be a hot lunch following each race. Spectators may enjoy the lunch too but must purchase theirs.\n\nCost: regular trail fee cost.\n\nRegister online here: 2017 link coming soon!\n\nTo get a good parking spot and allow waxing and prep time\, please arrive early.\n\nNote: The trails are open to the public during the Huckleberry Loppet events.\n\nThe trails a excellent\, the scenery magnificent\, and everybody is sure to have a great time!\n\nFor more information about the event\, keep up-to-date at: http://goldennordicclub.ca/events/\n\n
