SUMMARY:Columbia Wetlands Waterbird Survey – Fall 2017
DESCRIPTION:The Columbia Wetlands Waterbird Survey for the fall of 2017 will be taking place on 3 dates and in and around several different locations in the Columbia Wetlands:\n\n \tGolden\n \tParson\n \tSpillimacheen\n \tBrisco\n \tRadium Hot Springs\n \tWilmer\n \tLake Windermere\n \tInvermere\n \tColumbia Lake\n\n'Citizen-scientists' are needed to conduct the surveys in these areas.\n\nA major goal of the Columbia Wetlands Waterbird Survey is to collect baseline data necessary for achieving Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA) status for the Columbia Wetlands; data you collect may be used to help designate the Columbia Wetlands as an IBA!\n\nA limited number of high quality optical gear sets can be lent to participants in need.
