DESCRIPTION:Bravura is bringing their thrilling baritone voices to the stage at the Golden Civic Centre\, with a unique sound that is deep and rich and unmistakably masculine.\n\nFormed seven years ago\, the sonically thrilling Bravura is the baritone response to all those tenor-focused vocal groups that have making the rounds.\n\nComprising three of Canada’s most accomplished leading men from the worlds of opera and musical theatre – Curtis Sullivan\, James Levesque\, and George Masswohl – the powerful voices of Bravura bring fresh excitement to repertoire ranging from Broadway and pop to Italian folk tunes and classical music’s most emotive arias.\n\nCurtis Sullivan\, star of Toronto’s globally esteemed Opera Atelier and the Stratford Festival\, has a gorgeous bass-baritone voice that has wowed audiences on Broadway and at innumerable opera houses.\n\nJames Levesque is a similarly versatile and adept performer who is equally at home anchoring an opera\, commanding the concert stage\, or charming the audiences for toe-tapping musicals. Hailed by Opera Canada for his “expressive singing and acting abilities\,” Levesque has been performing internationally for 15 years.\n\nRounding out this terrific trio is George Masswohl\, one of this country’s most in-demand leading men. Masswohl has performed lead roles from the Stratford and Shaw Festivals to Halifax’s Neptune Theatre and Broadway touring shows.
