DESCRIPTION:[caption id="attachment_17025" align="alignright" width="240"] Click to view poster[/caption]\n\nBox City is an annual fundraiser event organized and hosted by the Invermere Summit Youth to commemorate World Homeless Day. Specifically\, the Box City event at Pothole Park is to raise awareness of youth homelessness and to raise funds for the United Way East Kootenay's poverty prevention and support programs.\n\nBox City is a challenge to Invermere residents to live out-of-doors for a night in a cardboard box for your only shelter.\n\nRound up your friends and family members\, pack up some camping gear\, dress warmly and experience for one night what a homeless youth experiences every night. If you manage to last the night\, there's a pancake breakfast at the Summit Youth Centre on Sunday morning from 8 to 10 AM.\n\nParticipants should get pledges ahead of the event.
