SUMMARY:Art Show & Artist Party at Pynelogs
DESCRIPTION:The current Art Show and Artist Party at Pynelogs Cultural Centre Art Gallery is open to the public during gallery hours of operation - daily from 11 am to 5 pm.Visitors  will be delighted to view pottery\, photography\, paintings\, relief carved panels\, masks and paddles in this spectacular exhibition.\n\nDrop in to see the works of:\n\nThe Fierce Art Project - 'Columbia Valley\, Our View'\nThis is the first in a series of exhibits expressing the marvels of the mighty Columbia River joining our communities. This Project will take impressions of Invermere’s view to contribute to future exhibitions of this growing show. They are a group of professional artists located in Revelstoke.\n\nElizabeth Segstro\n"I’ve enjoyed a long and varied career as an illustrator\, painter\, portraitist and caricaturist. I have been renowned for my ability to capture the essence of my subject and for my use of light\, shadow and form."\n\nJohn Palmer\n"My paintings reflect the area around the Rockaboo Ranch nestled along the Botts Channel as part of the Columbia River system near Brisco. The Purcells have produced an ecological system following a pathway by entering creek beds\, down through draws and canyons. This is a wonderful place to live and be part of."\n\nLaVerna Peters\n"When trees lose their leaves it is the end of the season\, their death in a way and yet this is when the leaves are at their most vibrant mix of tones and color. Creating art gives me the opportunity to express the deeper meaning and sometimes hidden\nbeauty in nature as well as common objects."\n\nLukasiewicz Stanislaw\n"Since my coming to Canada I have been enchanted with the exceptional beauty\nof its unspoiled nature. I try to express in my paintings the beauty and peacefulness of the landscapes of Alberta. I also strive to preserve in my works both true image and emotional expression."\n\nThere will be an Artist Party Soiree on Tuesday\, September 12th from 7 to 9 pm with a Cash Bar and live music. Come and meet the artists. There is no charge. The public is invited.\n\nFor more information about this art show and artist party plus other upcoming events at Pynelogs Cultural Centre\, please visit: http://columbiavalleyarts.com
