DESCRIPTION:The renowned dance company\, 605 Collective\, is returning to the Great Hall at the Golden Civic Centre – back by popular demand! It’s dance like you’ve never seen it performed before! If you didn't get to see them the last time they were in Golden - and even if you did\, this is one Live Kicks special event you really mustn't miss this month.\n\nInspired by a nearly limitless variety of genres – from hip-hop to ballet and everything in between\, the amazingly athletic group presents a solid\, cutting-edge show that puts the emphasis on demanding physicality. It’s modern\, it’s fast-paced\, it’s adventurous\, it’s urban and it’s very\, very cool.\n\nThe Vancouver-based 605 Collective has\, for the past 10 years or so\, been working with film-makers and astounding audiences at dance festivals and venues across North America. Rave reviews have come from Montreal\, San Francisco\, Banff and New York\, for starters. Recently they began touring in South America and Europe.\n\nLast time they were in Golden for the 13/14 Live Kicks season\, 605 Collective prepared a few dozen Golden teens and adults to perform a number called ‘New Animal’ and once again\, the group will engage the locals in a new presentation called ‘Vital Few.’\n\nThere will be two creative workshops in the Great Hall to prepare for a public performance of Vital Few:\n•    Monday\, April 11 – 6 to 9 pm\n•    Tuesday\, April 12 – 6 to 9 pm\n\nTo register for the workshops\, go to:\nhttp://kickinghorseculture.ca/2016/03/16/dance-workshops-605-collective/\n\nTickets are available at the Art Gallery of Golden (AGOG).
