Everything you can imagine about fantastic mountain golf has been embodied in the 6,825-yard layout, designed and built in two phases by two acclaimed architects; Bill Newis (the front nine) and Les Furber (the back nine, ten years later).Watch your ball sail down the tree-lined fairway and across Holt Creek toward the challenging signature 11th hole on the back nine. Holes 4, 5 and 6 on the front nine follow alongside the legendary Columbia River. Many of the greens are tiered with humps and bumps to test the golfer’s skills to the max.
In spite of the challenges though, the Golden Golf Club is player-friendly with no boundary markers or out-of-bounds. If you can find your ball, it is in play. This, plus the fact that the atmosphere is peaceful and serene, makes for a very relaxing experience. And you might just spy some wildlife at the same time –- eagles, osprey, coyotes, deer and black bears are frequently seen during a round of golf at Golden Golf Club.
