Nov 24, 2011 — Zowie! Panorama Mountain has already received more than 169 cm of snow. That’s nearly 5½ feet folks!

To celebrate, Panorama Mountain Village will be opening on December 5 (earlier than its official opening day of December 9) with Sneak-a-Peak-Week to kick off the winter 2011-2012 season. “We just couldn’t keep all this snow to ourselves!” says Rick Jensen, President and CEO of Panorama Mountain Village Inc.

Heavy early snowfalls and colder temperatures have allowed snowmaking and are resulting in a jump start to the season. “This early opening is getting people excited about the La Nina season ahead and reminding them of last winter’s amazing conditions,” Jensen adds.

Until December 5, Panorama will be hosting hundreds of national and international ski-team athletes for early-season race training.

During Sneak-a-Peak-Week, the Mile 1 Quad only will run from 9am until 4pm daily, with a limited number of open runs. Until December 9, unless you have a season pass, a lift ticket will be $49. Afterward, it will be full price.

You can purchase your lift tickets or Panorama Snow Card at the Panorama ticket window. Season pass holders can now pick up their passes daily 8:30 am until 12:00 pm and starting December 5 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
