Its open-concept floor plan contains a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, a dining area and a living area with floor-to-ceiling-rock gas fireplace, TV, DVD and stereo. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a full ensuite bathroom and the second bedroom has 2 single beds and a shared ensuite bathroom containing a washer/dryer.
A south-facing deck has a BBQ, patio furniture and looks onto a beautiful quiet green space. The property is air-conditioned and fresh towels, linens, dishcloths, soaps and paper products are supplied. Note: There is no internet.
As a guest at Sable Ridge, you have access to an outdoor pool during the summer months and a common hot tub year round.
Enjoy great golfing in the summer months at Radium Resort or Radium Springs golf courses, right in the village or at one of several championship courses just a very short drive away. Hiking on miles of mountain trails in Kootenay National Park or mountain scaling the peaks at Bugaboo Provincial Park are hugely popular sports, and trail riding into the backcountry or rafting on the Columbia River offer hours of family fun. When you need a break from preparing meals, there are some really great restaurants in Radium, serving authentic European and North American cuisine. Or why not send out for a pizza? Don’t forget Screamer’s ice cream shop on a hot summer afternoon.
Down the highway in Invermere, you can spend a day or more at one of the waterside parks, boating, waterskiing, swimming, picnicking or just lounging on the sandy beaches. And take some time to browse in the boutiques and art galleries downtown, perhaps lunching at an outdoor cafe. There’s even a movie theatre that shows mostly family movies.
Wintertime activities include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in and around the village and at Panorama Mountain Village, only a few minutes away, there is excellent downhill skiing as well as snowboarding, heli-skiing and even dog-sledding.
