The main floor features hardwood floors, a fully equipped kitchen with access to a west-facing deck with BBQ, patio furniture and a spectacular view of the Purcell Mountain Range. There is also a large dining area, a ½ bath and a living room with flat-screen TV, DVD, stereo, Nintendo Wii and an electric fireplace. The room also features access to the east-facing deck with sweeping views of downtown Invermere and the Rocky Mountains.
The 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom are located on the upper level. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the third has a double bed.
In the basement ‘den area’ there is a queen-sized sofabed and a flat-screen TV.
Washer and dryer are on the premises and fresh towels, linens, soaps, and paper products are supplied. There is no air conditioning in this home.
For summer fun, there are two lovely parks within the town, each with a sandy beach, lots of green grass, shady trees, playgrounds and picnic tables. Lake Windermere offers boating, swimming, water skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. The shopping district has lovely boutiques, art galleries, cute outdoor cafes, fine restaurants and even an old-fashioned movie theatre. There are several championship golf courses either right in town or close by and you can hike on the many trails, skydive, take a sight-seeing helicopter tour and much more.
Winter activities include skating on Lake Windermere, hockey and curling. Only a short drive away, Panorama Mountain Village offers downhill, cross-country or heli-skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tobogganing, dog-sledding and much more.
