Copper City Amusement Park
Looking for a place where the whole family can make happy memories together? The Copper City Amusement Park has something for everyone to enjoy. Just turn off Highway 93/95 at North Street, next door to the Windermere Fire Hall, park you car, apply plenty of sunscreen and get ready for a day filled to the brim with fun for every member of the family.
In a beautiful setting amid colorful flower beds and spectacular mountain views, challenge the kids to a game of mini golf on the gently sloping 18-hole mini golf course. There’s even an extra hole for practice! A picturesque stream meanders all around the area, with rustic wooden footbridges, a fountain, a waterfall and a working water wheel.
There are go-karts too –- ‘Rookies’ for kids aged 8 to 12, ‘Super Stocks’ for ages 13 and up and double-passenger karts for the smaller kids (aged 3 to 7 years) to ride safely with an adult. (Teens must have a waiver signed by parents or guardians in order to be able to ride without supervision on all rides in the park).
The water bumper boats are fun for children 5 years and up. Each boat is equipped with a squirt gun and there are more squirt guns on the sides of the pool. If you toss in a quarter, they will spray everyone in the pool. And the larger-than-life elephant sprays water from his trunk to add to the party! A fun-filled way to cool off on a hot summer day!
One of the most popular attractions in the park is the space ball ride. The rider is strapped into the ball and spins upside down and all around, rather like riding in a space shuttle. See the world from every angle just like an astronaut!
If you would like to visit some of the historic sites in Windermere, we have two scooters which are available for rent. We supply you with a map and you’re off to see such places as the Stolen Church, the oldest church in the Columbia Valley and one with a past alive with romance and skullduggery.
Kids can pick the tender carrots, lettuce, beans, peas, etc. that grow in the vegetable gardens. You’ll have to admit that nothing tastes better than a baby carrot you have just pulled fresh from the garden yourself.
When you’re hungry, make your way over to the full concession with all the foods kids love –- chicken fingers, hot dogs, fries, ice cream, snow cones and drinks. You can eat indoors or outside on the patio while you enjoy watching the golfers.

Copper City Amusement Park is open from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving. Early in the season, the hours of operation are from 10:00am until 6:00pm. During the peak months of July and August, the hours are from 10:00am until 10:00pm
